Stainless steel plate is a metallic material mainly made by alloying elements such as iron, chromium and nickel, and is named for its excellent corrosion resistance. It is made by adding at least 10.5% chromium to steel as well as other elements such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, etc. The presence of chromium allows the formation of a dense chromium oxide film on the surface of the steel, which is capable of self-repairing, thus protecting the steel from oxidation and corrosion.
